I've updated by Visual Studio Project Template to work with the soon to be released Visual Studio 2010.
This allows rapid development of compiled C# modules on the DNN platform. Modules based on this template work with DNN 4 and 5 without an issue.

You can download the template from my website http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk/VS2010...

Hi Mark

Thanks for sharing your module template, what is involved in making the templates VS2010 compatible?

I would like to also use the VB.net version of the Module template.

Cheers

Craig

Hi Craig

The code in the module is pretty much the same as the one in my VS2005/VS2008 with some minor improvements.

The real difference is just the packaging and meta files used by VS2010 to work with the template.
Making a project template is much improved in VS2010 with tools available to help you create the required package.

I found this blog post helpful in creating the project template

http://blogs.msdn.com/pedrosilva/arch...

The template file itself is a zip file so you can extract the contents of mine which shows how it all fits togethers.

Good lucky with creating one for VB.Net

Regards

Mark

Thanks Mark for the heads up.

I agree that VS2010 has improved significantly and I am loving it. One of the areas that I have resisted in the past was Foundation Server, but since installing it,  I should have looked at this earlier.
