Strange,

I have downloaded the source and compiled without issue on many version of DNN.  All the source is present, and resulting libraries work as expected.  So, I am somewhat confused by your comments.

While I rarely alter the core software , I have and was able to test and deploy without issue.  I don't recommend altering the core as it will only lead to compatibility issues in later versions.

So, if you could provide additional detail as to the issue(s) you are having... I (or others) would be glad to help

Paul.

please be aware that the DotNetNuke library has to be compiled, while the web site is a WSP project, which gets JIT compiled on first access (pre-compile of the web site project is not supported without modifications). After compile, you need to build the solution to get all dll's in place.

hello, thanks for replys.

I do not seek to amend the code of my version but you can propose changes to the "core" DNN.
That's why I want to re compile the DLL.
Years ago I worked with DNN 3, but since then, with the sources of version 5, it seems that I can not remember how to compile.

1) I download the sources:
DotNetNuke_Community_05.02.03_Source.zip

2) open the project:
DotNetNuke_VS2008.sln

and received 1105 errors!

so.... what is the approach to re-compile?

thanks
