Hi,

I was trying to install DNN 5.2.3 on a shared hosting environment. I faced an issue with setting up the directory permissions. The control panle that they provide does not allow me to change the permission of the root directory (httpdocs) but only allows me to change the permissions for subdirectories created within it.

Is there any known workaround for this problem? Or can dotnetnuke in future versions may be designed so that it does not required write permission on the root directory.

Thanks
Shreedhar

Search the forums for "Hosting on Godaddy", AFAIK most of those threads deal with this problem.

Cheers from Germany,
