Hi,

My main site is located at Godaddy and because of a limitation of 200MB in MSSQL database, I am moving the site to IXWebhosting. I found their package very competetive and they have a great support.

I have a slowness problem with IXWebhosting and it appear to be a network problem.

My main site is http://www.apsq.ca located at Godaddy and the copy of this site is at http://www.apsq.info

When you browse pages on apsq.info, it is sometime quick, but very often the page just hang for at least a minute or two.

IXWebhosting does not support Full Text Search Catalog, so I had to remove this feature from the database before restoring to their MSSQL server.

In case, I can't fix this issue, do you have any suggestion of DNN web hosting in that range of price and package?

I would like to have 2 separates domains to test the upgrade before implementing it in the live site.

Thanks for your help

Stéphan Bourgeois

Personally I recommend that you either go with PowerDNN or 3Essentials for the hosting, you will also want to see what you have configured for performance settings for your DotNetNuke installation as those can have a drastic effect on performance.

Thanks Mitchel,

I looked at 3Essentials and the problem with them is the limitation of 300MB of the MSSQL database size. My site is mostly a forum and the database may grow over that limit.

PowerDNN would be great, but they are quite expensive.

What do you think of webhost4life?

This depends on what you are thinking for the database, to hit 300Mb, you would need to have a VERY active forum..... Personally i would recommend moving away from WebHost4Life

Actually, my DNN site is working very well at Godaddy for now. I will then renew on a monthly basis until I reach the database limit.

Thanks
