Blogged : Creating short, vanity urls for the new DotNetNuke 5.3 User Profile page, using the Url Master module 'User Profile Url' function.

This just requires the standard Url Master module, and no extra changes to your DotNetNuke website.  The blog post shows how to use the module to create short, simple User profile urls like http://www.ifinity.com.au/Bruce_Chapman
