Hello,

I am unable to delete published feedback being logged on as admin or host.

I have moderation turned on in the module settings.

I am using the core feedback module.

DNN 5.02.03 running on localhost.

Thanks to all for any advice.

Michael

Hi Sebastion,

There are no error messages on top of  page or in the dnn event log.

I am in edit mode.

This is a new installation on localhost.

The published feedback I am trying to delete is the very first feedback item entry on the new installation.

All subsequent published feedback deletes normally.  It is the very first entry that does not delete.

I had assumed that additional published feedback would not delete but additional published feedback does delete normally ...except for the first published feedback entry which remains.

Thank you for your response Sebastian.

Michael

hm, very strange, it needs to be validated in a test environment, but I am running out of time atm. you may inter it into the issue tracker at dnnfeedback.codeplex.com, but unfortunately there is no active lead ot team for this project atm.

This past week I've been doing a major re-write of the Feedback module at the request of a client and so have gotten to know the module more deeply that I had really wanted to.

If you have access to your site's database using a tool such as SQL Server Management Studio, please look at the Feedback table. I suspect that for the feedback item in question you will have a null value in the CategoryID column which will prevent that item from showing up in the Published Feedback section of the Feedback Moderation page but still allow it to be displayed in the Comments/Guestbook. I recall this was the case for the first test entry I made to the module before beginning the re-write. While you have the Feedback table open, you can delete the entry if you would like.

When I begin testing upgrading the current Feedback module to my re-write later this week, I'll look more deeply into this issue.

Regarding the future of the Feedback module, I'll be discussing with other Core Team members and the former Feedback project lead the possibility of submitting my new version to CodePlex and the DotNetNuke module project release process .
