Hey everyone,

I have a question on independent menu's for example i want to have the horizontal and vertical menu completely independent of each other. Does anyone know how to do this? For the moment i'm experimenting with showhidden tabs = true in one menu but off course this still shows all the visible tabs also. Is there an option to show only the hidden tabs?

This is the code in my page.ascx file (generated by artisteer and tweaked a little by me..

<dnn:ARTMENU ID="ArtMenu1" ShowHiddenTabs="False" ShowAdminTabs="True" ShowDeletedTabs="False" ShowLoginTab="True" ShowUserTab="False" runat="server" /><div id="TopPane" visible="false" runat="server"></div>
      <table class="position" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
        <tr valign="top">
          <td width="33%" id="Top1" runat="server"></td>
          <td width="33%" id="Top2" runat="server"></td>
          <td id="Top3" runat="server"></td>
        </tr>
      </table><div class="art-content-layout">
    <div class="art-content-layout-row">
<div class="art-layout-cell art-sidebar1">
<div id="sidebar1" visible="true" runat="server"><dnn:ARTMENU ID="ArtVMenu1" ShowHiddenTabs="True" ShowAdminTabs="True" ShowDeletedTabs="False" ShowLoginTab="False" ShowUserTab="False" Orientation="Vertical" Caption="Praktijk" ShowOnlyCurrent="59" runat="server" /></div>
</div>
<div class="art-layout-cell art-content<%= CollapseSidebars() %>">
<div id="Banner1" visible="false" runat="server"></div>
<table class="position" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
        <tr valign="top">
          <td width="50%" id="User1" runat="server"></td>
          <td id="User2" runat="server"></td>
        </tr>
      </table>

You could use the ID of the page like in this example:

You can set the StartTabId attribute for a menu and then the menu will show the children of that page in the menu:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" ID="dnnNAV2" StartTabId="123" Level="Child" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Horizontal" />

So if you need two menus you could create two page that are the parent pages of your menu: "menu1" and "menu2"

These two main pages will have children and these will be shown in the two menus.

You set the StartTabId of the first menu to the menu1 page id and the StartTabId of the second menu to the menu2 page id.
