Hi there guys

I currently updated to the new DNN 5.3.1 and noticed that when I try to update the site settings such as Title / Description / Keywords, it does not update, i have checked the DB to see if the values are getting updated and they are not.

I can change some of the settings under the Site Settings page like options in the Other Settings section, however the majority of things are not being updated.

I have the default language set to English (UK), however also tried updating with different languages selected.

I do not get any errors, I cannot see any errors in the event viewer and I had no issues with the updates.  I did the update over a number of stages following this process here:

If someone can please shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Its a known bug.

If you have access to the db you can change the culturecode in the table PortalLocalization to en-us and the updates will work.

Ahh ok, thanks for your reply.  Any idea when this bug is going to be addressed?

I have no idea, I will be suprised if its not in the next release. But I was suprised it was not fixed in the 5.3.1 release too.

Well here we are SIX MONTHS later.  I just upgraded a site from 5.02 to 6.01.

I cannot update the skin.  Jan's workaround does not work for me. I tried changing the culture in the Localization table and I tried adding a new row so that I had BOTH en-GB and en-US for the site.  Still crashes.

I get this every time.

DefaultDataProvider: DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider
