recently hade a problem with an update from 5.2.2 > 5.2.3. which required deleting the sproc UpdatePortalInfo and running the sql that failed. sql ran ok

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/200/postid/353614/scope/posts/Default.aspx#353614

i see the above error is related to UpdateTab/UpdateModule but looking for issues to check for relating to Parameter count does not match Parameter Value count

it looks like any of the upgrade scripts did not run properly. you may restore a backup and rerun upgrade, otherwise you will need to transfer stored procedures like "upgradeModule" and "updateTab", however I fear there will be a number of other sproc changes be missing as well.

thanks Sebastian

i had the hosting provider restore a datadase backup. following the 5.2.3 > 5.3 upgrade when i seen the amount of problems that other people where haveing.  everything was working fine until i noticed the problem with updating module/tabs then i checked the version table and had refrences to 5.3.0 so the database i requested was not restored. but a backup of a more recent backup.

lucky i keep backups offline prior to update.

glad you was able to identify the issue. if you restore backup and files, there may also be files from newer version left over - you may identify by its timestamp.
