I have DNN 5.3.1 installed on my hosted webserver. I'm having an issue with a 3rd party module. The module is not displaying and/or enabling an upload button/link, which users will need to submit media and files for others to access. I was informed by the vendor that It sounds like I do not have host Jquery. I went to my DNN install and noticed that Jquery 1.4.2 is listed as installed, but the "use hosted Jquery version" was not checked. So, I checked it, update and restarted the application. The third pary module still does not function. I was wondering If there are any additional steps I need to complete to make JQuery work with the modules? Do I need to install the modules again or should they now function?

 Hi James,

Off the top of my head, you may need to "Enable Skin Widgets" in the Admin > Site Settings > + Appearance section.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Aaron! I checked it out and it looks like "skin widgets" is enabled.

 Did that work for you?

I just reread your first post. If you check "Use Hosted jQuery" then you need to specify where the file is coming from.

For example, in the "Hosted jQuery URL" input below the checkbox, you would need to enter: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js

Then it would link to the hosted file from Google.

Check out the comments on Will's blog for more about the hosted versioning issues... it would be nice to always grab the latest but if one of your modules has a dependency on an older version you'll have to be more specific (ask them to check it!!) http://www.willstrohl.com/Blog/EntryId/552/Upgrading-DotNetNuke-to-Use-jQuery-Version-1-4-2 I have switched to the Hosted version of the latest Jquery so to increase performance...
