Hi, by some corresponding threads in the DesktopModule Forums I came to the fact that Field Help within modules (or framework) seems to be implemented in the core modules (and within Client API). - If this isn't true please point me to the right place. -

My problem is, I'd like to get off these little blue help icons at all, including the localization and noscript-helptexts (uhm, and if possible also on module and tab level. The texts are kinda messy and not very helpful).

I changed the files I found on design-levels, f.e. helpbutton & label, but there are also lots of callbacks, and these icons show up in core modules, too...  Login etc.

Can I set an inline or code switch to avoid these functions, or where is the place to disable these callbacks?

Thanks in advance, itagens

It is true that the ClientAPI is used to show and hide the text for help, however, this is not done via a callback, it simply is showing and hiding the content.  As to if it is possible to remove field-level help from your app, I don't know.  I suggest posting this question to the Configure It forum.

Thanks for your answer Jon, and sorry to bother you again -

I did some research. - cmdHelp, imgHelp are defined in admin/controls/helpbuttoncontrol.ascx and .../labelcontrol.ascx. - They are referenced by core functions in Help.vb, f.e. in EnableMaxMin. - Me, I cannot build a dotnetnuke.dll at the moment (having a thread on that in extendIt: Here ). -

So I'm looking for a workaround. Do you see a chance to a) switch the referencing calls to dummy objects defined elsewhere, and/or b) overload the functions or c) something else I don't know?

- Jürgen

I was looking to update these to allow a user without a mouse to access help.

I can't see where the onclick javascript is generated, I would like to add a onkeypress so that the help is available to all as per the level 2 W3C Web Content Accessibility specification.

Any ideas?
