..nobody talked about format strings before. It was just considered to add one new data type without any formatting for integer.
Your idea of using user defined format strings is Brillant. We must be blind to oversee such great possibilities. Good job.

I'm thinking it'd be best to simply have a format option that would allow users to come up with whatever formats they want to use. Using additional field types seems like way too much work. If no format is specified, the default for that field type could be used. This would allow all field types to have formatting options.
