Hello,

I get numerous "General Exceptions" in the log generated by ImageChallenge.captcha.aspx as result of Google/MSN bots scanning the site. I created robots.txt that supposed to cure it but it does not help. Any clues are very appreciated.

Here are the lines from my robots.txt file:

User-agent *

Disallow: /home/admin/

Disallow: /home/DesktopModules/

I'm getting the same issue - obviously a different module path - but same /ImageChallenge.captcha.aspx?

Have you been able to find anything out about this?

The issue occurs when Googlebot tried to index the captcha image. To fix the issue, you can add below section into the root.txt of your web site:

User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow: *captcha* # remove captcha images that resolve as pages
