Hi All.

Today i upgraded from 5.3.1 to 5.4.0, before that i made a full backup .

The upgrade went well without any errors and i can login as any user, admin or host. All of my areas are working then before BUT

- a click on the username still does not bring up the userprofile page for normal users, only the admin and host will be redirected to it
yes, i made a page calles Profile Page and set this as the profile page in the site settings
- when loggin out i receive  the error message
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Normally there must be my homepage for all unregistered users. And yes, the setting Redirect after logout in the user-account setting is correct.
This worked before i made the upgrade.

Should i wait 2 days for the 5.4.1 or should i rollback with my fullbackup?

Kai

I'd rool back if you are not getting the correct behaviour.  Could you please log an issue so we can track it to the end.

Sorry, last night i made a whole restore of my files and db as this was an behaviour my users would not understand and it looked really strange.
My page came up with the correct skin but beside the error message (on the top left corner) the page was empty.

I will make another try this weekend, then we will see.....maybe it came from the ash cloud over Europe....

Hi,

I got the same message after upgrading from 5.3.1 to 5.4.0 and it is solved for me.

Here is how I fixed it. It seems that the language is the culprit. The site was set before to default he-IL. I was logged in when I upgraded and things seems to be OK.

After I logged out the errro was displayed.

So, I went to the portalLocalization table and changed the default to en-US and now it works.

This one is a new table and I am not sure where does it effect the site.

I looked at the radio buttons on top of portal settings but it did not changed to en-EN. Also the site default language did not change in "Other settings"

So where does this table effecting?

Is this a bug?
