Setting English (USA) as default language do not solved the problem on my site.

There will be a couple of fixes in DNN 5.4.1, scheduled for next week.

This would be great. On the other hand, i can't understand why in a new release (not version!) a major bug comes in as new like this one here.

If you read the comments on codeplex reg. 5.4.0 there may be some more and even worse problems with this release.

You know this one: What's new in the new version? New bugs.....

But we are not talking about a new version. And if a release kills several installation there might be room for improvement in the testing-phase and process.

Just my opinion.

Now it is working with 5.4.1

But the problem with not showing the profile page when clicking on the username is still there....
