Last Update before i go to bed..

I have found in PortalDesktopModules that the 9 modules i do see in my module list are listed in PortalDesktopModules to portal id 0, which is what i am logged into to look at my modules.  I tried to simply add all the moduleid records to portal 0.  That did not do it.  I then noticed that DesktopModulePermissions call upon the portaldesktopmoduleid.  Which says to me, that there is probably a permisison i need to add to make them show.  Not sure what that permission is though.

Everything else about my portals appear to be working.  I can see all the modules on the pages. i can edit them.. i can do everything but add new ones cause i cant see them in the list.

I have yet to find why my modules disappeared.  Can anyone tell me what stored proceedures are used by the dashboard and which stored proceedures are used when you are looking at your modules under the host menu.  This will help me track down what data didnt get translated correctly.

I found a couple of issues.  I have no SQL upgrade errors but still get a couple application errors.   From what i found, i have 2 problems.  I upgraded from 4.9.5 to 5.4.1 this time

  1. Packages Table,  All the modules the upgrade did not install had a -1 in their packageid, this was solvable by reinstalling the core packages but 3rd party items were completely missing.  Do all the 3rd party need a package.  If not.. i cant get them to list in the host.moduledefinitions screen when they have -1 to their package
  2. It seems all my modules think they are premium even though they are not.   and clearly marked 0 in the desktop module table.

Anyone have any answers to how and get my 3rd party modules showing again?  Reinstalling the module at best fails, at worst, wipes all the data for that module.

Brandon, I am running into the same problem. Did you ever find a resolution?

I only fixed the issue in part.  I still have left over issues.  There is something along the line that messed up desktop module packages and language and visibility of the modules.     I did get the install and i was able to migrate my modules by doing merges of  clean installs of dnn 5.4.1 but it did take many days of testing and i still have issues to deal with.

Sadly unless a core person can help track this down.. i just dont know what was changed in terms of packaging and languages that caused it.
