I know, I know. Put this off WAY too long.

I have two questions:

1) How do I upgrade? I downloaded the 5.1.4 upgrade package, but don't know how to deploy it. I didn't see any documentation in the package itself, didn't find any instructions in this forum, and couldn't find documentation elsewhere. At this point, the red "update" button has disappeared when I'm logged in as an admin. I'm guessing that clicking that button would have helped and that it has now disappeared because the version I'm running is so old. I do have "check for updates" checked.

2) Should I first upgrade to 4.9.5 and then from there to 5.1.4?

Thanks.

Start with a full backup of your files and database! Upgrade first to 4.9.5, test and backup. next upgrade to 5.2.3, which is most stable DNN 5 version IMHO. To upgrade, stop your site an unzip all files hierarchically into the DNN installation directory, overwriting existing files. Browse your site to trigger the upgrade scripts.
