Hi Matthias,

Your url problem is due to some hardening rules applied by DNN while editing Tab. If you can access the Tabs table, you can override this. Search for your tab in the table, then replace the content of the column "Url" by: /Default.aspx?tabid=69&PageID=CustomerOrders (note the / at the begining!). It should works because it works for me on my dev environment (DNN 04.04.01)!

I will add a "Default View" setting in a next version.

Concerning your other issues:

  • I have already explained that I can't do it without rewrite completly the checkout process. This is on my long to do list.
  • The Address provider works, probably not like you want but it works! Please be more specific.
  • You can create an "Empty Address" provider, but this is too specific because several gateway providers REQUIRE an address. Then I can't add this kind of features breaking some other providers.
  • I will add CSS classes to the cart and the order history list in a future version.
  • This is realy difficult because all gateway providers do not works the same way. With a gateway like the PayPal one, it's even more difficult because the payment notification is made asynchonously (IPN Instant Payment Notification) and you do not have any waranty than an order is really paid when the customer come back to the web site.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

thanks for the hint regarding the URL, I will try that!

  • Regarding "Direct Checkout": I will make some coding suggestion and send it to you
  • Regarding Address Providers: Last time I looked at the code I saw that there is no way to choose a different address provider
  • I understand that an "Empty Address Provider" might not be suitable for every checkout provider, but for PayPal and E-Mail Gateway it should be no problem. It could be clearly stated somewhere that it might not work with every gateway provider. From a technical point of view: The Empty Address Provider that I created does supply the required address class (with all fields empty), so there is no break in code.
  • Regarding: "Provide a way to redirect the user to a selectable page after payment is completed": I know that with PayPal IPN this is not easy. But only thing I would want is a page (TabID) to where the user is redirected after payment is completed. On this page I load a custom module that waits for 20s and regularly checks if the transaction is completed.

Best regards,

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

You know than I'm open to suggestions! ;-)

You'r right, currently there is no way to choose another address provider. Sending an empty address to PayPal will probably break your payment! Last changes made by PayPal do not allow to transmit empty fields. Concerning the redirection, it's impossible with PayPal IPN. Because the request come from PayPal not from the customer browser, then you can't redirect the customer after payment.

Please look at this post, you should be happy.

Gilles
