 Hi everyone,

I built a module and I do not know how to get the value of PortailId and the ModuleID. Also when and where should we record these data in the database, on the Page_Load event ?

Thank you,

David

If your module inherits from PortalModuleBase (which it should), then you can just use the inherited PortalID and ModuleID which are part of the base class.

Public Class SkribenterMeny
        Inherits Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase
        Implements Entities.Modules.IActionable

        Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load

            SetControlMenu()

        End Sub

 #Region "Optional Interfaces"

        Public ReadOnly Property ModuleActions() As Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionCollection Implements Entities.Modules.IActionable.ModuleActions
            Get
                Dim Actions As New Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionCollection
                Actions.Add(GetNextActionID, Localization.GetString(Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionType.AddContent, LocalResourceFile), Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionType.AddContent, "", "", EditUrl(), False, Security.SecurityAccessLevel.Edit, True, False)
                Return Actions
            End Get
        End Property

#End Region

End class

in this code moduleid=-1 ...thus I cannot get hold of the proper value that should be 3030 for moduleid?????

I found the answer:

Put this code in the mothercontrol Sub Page_Load and then it works

With TheNameOfmyChildControl
.ModuleConfiguration = Me.ModuleConfiguration
.LocalResourceFile = Me.LocalResourceFile
End With
