Hi all,

I have a Windows 2003 server (SQL Server 2003 on another box), IIS 6. I installed version 3 which installed - and upgraded to 3.3 - just fine. Gave me the link to go to the portal site. That's when the problem happened - it wouldn't load. The URL it gave me was

abc.com//install (where abc.com is my domain and it had the two slashes). I went to SQL Server and the entry for dnn_PortalAlias.HTTPAlias was indeed abc.com//install which didn't go anywhere.

I tried to go to the installation file or the main DotNetNuke folder, nothing.

Any ideas what the "homepage" should be or what I should change that HTTPAlias to?

Thanks in advance.

Max

Remove the //install from the httpalias then recycle the application pool and you will be set to go!

Thanks for replying. So I now have "abc.com" in my HTTPAlias column and I reset the site. When I go to http://abc.com/DotNetNuke (the path to the DNN folder), it redirects to "abc.com".

What's the URL I should be using for DNN? Seems like the redirect part is working fine but perhaps the HTTPAlias should be something like abc.com/DotNetNuke/Start.aspx or something similar.

Thanks again

I just tried using the install wizard and it gave me this:

DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Domain Name "[DOMAINNAME]" Does Not Exist In The Database

Perhaps something got messed up during install? Should I just reinstall the whole thing?

Reset your alias to abc.com/DotNetNuke, Mitch thought you had installed DNN at the root.
