Hello
I just upgraded to 4.0.3. After the update scripts were run, and it went to the homepage, I keep getting this error. Had not happened before:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web
request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the
error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Source Error:
Line 473:
Line 474: ' set skin id to an explicit short name to reduce page payload and make it standards compliant
Line 475: ctlSkin.ID = "dnn"
Line 476:
Line 477: ' add CSS links
The "ctlSkin" reference is in the old default.aspx.vb file and had no problem. Anyone seen this before?

Thanks
Harold Chattaway

After tracing through this error, the problem is that  "access to website/admin/skins/logo.ascx is denied." The logo.ascx control is there and there are full privledges for the "website" folder and all sub-folders. This was never a problem before copying over the new updated files.

Any ideas on this one? Really frustrating when simply updating a site causes these problems.
Thanks
Harold
