I'm filtering my data using three fields. 'Upcoming' and 'Active' are true/false calculated columns and 'Approved' is a true/false column.

Currently, I'm using this filter statement:

(Upcoming = 'true') AND (Approved_UDT_Original = 'true') AND NOT (Active = 'false')

It works perfectly and returns all the results that fit what I believe are the criteria I've laid out: Only the records that are marked as Upcoming, Active, and Approved. Now, are you ready for the weird part? When I take away the 'Upcoming' part, like so:

(Approved_UDT_Original = 'true') AND NOT (Active = 'false')

...I get fewer results displayed on my list. How can this be? Have I written my regular expression completely wrong somehow? I'll be very grateful to the person who can spot the problem, because at the moment it is breaking my brain!
