Jeff,

Yes you can delete a skin pack in DNN5. You'll need to login as a host and delete it from the extensions page, there should be an option to delete next to the extension's entry in the list If not, it's being used in the site and canot be deleted because of this. You'll need to make sure that the skins/containers aren't assigned to any pages/modules, even ones that are in the recycle bin so empty this if possible.

Regards,

Rick.

OK, I went there and found that somewhere in the site, the skin package is being used. The problem is that I have looked at evey page in the site and have yet to find where it's being used. I do see that some of the other skin packages that I have tried do offer the option to delete. The problem is that the skin package that I am working with, I really like, but it has an area for the logo above the menu (horizontal) and I went in and took that atribute out of the skin files and now the BG image does not work and I lost some other functions of the skin, so I'm just planning to delete the old skin and reinstall a fresh version. I've done this on othe rskins before and had no problem so I figured either I didn't do it right or it's not rewritable.

I'll let you know what I find.

 Thanks, Jeff...

I meant to ask, is there a way to look at some file or database to see if the skin is being used somewhere?

Ok, here's where I am at on trying to delete this skin package.
I will start by saying that I am trying to delete it and reinstall a new copy of the same skin package since I screwed up the first one by trying to take a <div> out from above the menu.

  1.  I have gone through every page in the site 4 times in the admin/pages menu AND manually through the actual pages, and every container and module to reassure that the skin and/or container is not being used. Found none.
  2. I went to the "Extensions" menu as you said and was able to delete ONLY the skin package, but the container portion of the package is still showing to be in use.
  3. I deleted everything from the recycle bin multiple times,
  4. I've manually gone in to the FTP and manually deleted all the files that I could find that related to the skin and looked further for anything related to the container portion, but found none after deleting the file that was obviously for this package.
  5. Confirmed that the dropdown in the Host and admin as well as some of the pages does not offer the option for the container, Option is no longer available.
  6. The Container portion is still not deletable.
Is there a way to see if a page somewhere may be set to use this container without having to manually go through the pages?
Is it possible that a page may be out there that does not show up in the nav menu and in the Admin/Pages menu?

 Thanks, Jeff...
