Our organization has a corporate and a governmental network. Our DNN website is served up by the corporate side.

The performance of our DNN website is most often very slow on the gov. network but very fast on the corporate site. We don't know what can be attributes to this very slow performance on the gov. network; we don't have access to monitor / troubleshoot this issue and couldn't get the gov. guys look into it.

I can see how the gov. site has to go through additional hops to access our website and this cause a tiny delay but it shouldn't be that much of a factor. After all when we try to access the website through our home internet connections, we are not having any issues either.

Is there anything on the governmental network that could be slowing things down to this extent? It seems like the website is always slower on the gov. side and at times the slowdown is down to a crawl.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly desired.

Thanks!

PS: Many of our webpages use RadControls and they are unresponsive or slow responsive as well. Even our Reporting Services reports that we have embedded in some of our DNN pages are just as slow.

Any idea if the GOV side is SSL encrypted while the public side isn't?
