Hi Bob,
I have sent you more information and a link to our in development front website. We have some information on how to choose a good DNN hosting provider on this site.
The hosting industry is somewhat a big jungle -- a lot of providers, a lot of details to consider that are not always present on the provider's website, different marketing schemes to attract customers, such as unlimited resources. Unlimited is never really unlimited, as one customer could bankrupt the hosting provider... Will the company really accept a customer creating 1000 sql databases of 1 Terrabyte? Never. Look out for small prints with such offerings. Same as unlimited bandwidth. Most of the time, your connection speed is capped to a limited speed to ensure you don't use too much bandwidth. Unlimited disk space? Check to see if this disk space is properly backed up.
I personnaly believe in transparency and a "pay for what you use" model that can scale on demand. This is the vision behind PremiumDNN.
As for SQL databases, you can run more than 1 DNN installation in 1 SQL database, using prefixes. This will work, but is not ideal -- mainly because of backups consideration and client isolation.
And finally, if you are reselling, consider how you want to manage billing and support. Do you want to manage these 2 aspects or do you want the hosting company to deal directly with your clients.
