Hi All,

I have a bit of a desparate requirement to disable use friendly url on my site. I am using DNN version 4.9 with an Oracle DB. We need to use a non-standard port asn we have to allow third party access to the site. We started having problems with most pages not serving up. So I first disabled Use friendly url which is not ideal but seemed to be a solution. I then started to create new rules but now I am not sure of what rule I have created but am unable to any pages at all of the site dusplayed.

I set the value for Use Friendly Url in teh Host Settings table and re started teh application from IIS but this has not helped.

Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rajesh

If you disable Friendly URLs then new rules won't affect the site, they're disabled.  First, restore to a previous good version.  If you can't do that, and you edited the web.config, and you don't remember what you changed, learn your lesson.  Then tell us what you mean by being unable to display the pages.  Errors, event log entries and so on would help.

Jeff,

I had first added a new rule in which I have probably done something due to which no pages are being served up. As I am not able to access the site I disabled Friendly URLs in the database. But this has not made any difference. I am still unable to access my site.

Anyway I have a backup which I will try to use.

Thanks for your reply.

Rajesh
