Hi,
I couldn't find a similar question in this forum so I ask you if it's possible to change the position of a pane.
In my case I'd like to move the banner pane to the left cause I'd like to place my logo there.
First I tried to place my logo in the banner picture but since the sizes and the dimensions of the banners in my skin package are different the logo changes the size on each site with a different banner. Guess that's because my skin package (flex2 from Dr. Nuke) fits the banner pictures automaticely into the right size and unfortunately my logo changes the size in this process, too.
Thank you for every answer!
Regards,
Freddie

You can move anything you want, but you need to edit the skin to do it.

Hi Jeff

Okay, and how can I edit the skin?
Please visit www.medicalxpert.ch - I'd like the logo which I placed in the banner pane to move more to the right...

Thankk you for every answer & best regards,
Freddie

Freddie,

If you want to edit the skin you'll need to go into the /Portals/_default/Skins/Flex2-V-Simple-DGrad/Template-03.ascx file (this file is the template used to create the HTML layout of the skin). You can make any changes to the sttructure of the layout in here. (Remember to always create a copy of the original file so you can rollback if needs be).

If you're just looking to place the lofo to the right though, there is a place holder for the logo used by DNN (Admin > Site Settings > Appearance). This is contained in a div which is floated left. In theory if you use this instead of the pane, you'll just need to float it right and add some margins to place it where you want, or CSS positioning.

Hope this helps you out.

Rick.

Hi Rick

Thank you for your answer.
Editing the template is too difficult for me, I didn't even find the position figures of the banner pane.
So I tried to use the logo placeholder, but I was not able to float it right or add margins, not within DNN. Also, the logo is on the top, not in or over the banner.
Guess it's not possible within DNN...

Thanks again,
Freddie
