I have a DNN project I'm working on in Visual Studio. When I run it from localhost, everything is fine. I published the site to a server on our network running IIS 6.  The site is accessing the same database as it was when it was on localhost. When I view the site on this server, there is some wierdness:
The text for almost all of the items in the module menu is blank.
 Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

The Pages item in the Admin menu reads "Tabs" instead of "Pages".
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The text for "All Users" and "Unauthenticated Users" is blank in the role accessibility area of the modules.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Does anyone know what could be causing this?  I'm new to DNN so it could be something stupid on my part.  If so, feel free to ridicule me.  Thanks.

this look s like a problem with localization, as only localizable items are affected. please check tha language packs, you installed.

I haven't installed any language packs.  But even if I had, wouldn't they get copied over along with everything else?  I'm copying the entire folder over from my development machine to the production server.  I've tried both the Publish Web Site option from the Build menu, and copying the files over manually via the Website menu.
Another wrinkle:  when I try to go to the Log Viewer (Admin>Log Viewer), it works on localhost, but on the production server I get the error:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format at System.String.Format(IFormatProvider provider, String format, Object[] args) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.PagingControl.CreateChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.EnsureChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Is there some kind of IIS configuration problem that could be causing all this?

After browsing through a number of other posts, I was able to fix it.  The problem was that it was looking for App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.resx, which didn't exist because I was precompiling.  After clearing out the files on the production server and just copying them over again, it's working.  I'm too tired of messing with it to worry about how to copy the precompiled site over...
