Is it possible for a module to create a new token that can be used in modules that already support DNN Tokens(like the Text/html module) without altering those modules?

custom user profile properties may be extended, but besides, for security reasons tokenreplace is limited to objects and tokens either provided by the core framework or in the module itself.

I think it would be very powerful if modules could "Tokenize" there output.
Perhaps if the interface allowed this, it could be setup so the module would have to associate the token with a Role, and perhaps have a fallback Content for anonymous.  The Role association would be a part of the Token.

There are many possible use cases, but, to be honest, though being one of the authors of this feature, I am not a fan of overstretching the features. TokenReplace is not type save and does not know about parameters. it is a simple replace function with formatting included, to be fast, it uses precompiled regular expressions. Though we can think about any syntax enhancements to support parameters, context or whatever, the proper solution in my eyes would be a script language for expressions to be built into the framework. But this is quite a bunch of work.
