my site is up and running most of the time.
however, if i leave the site logged in and walk away for about 10 minutes.
come back and hit refresh, DNN cannot connection to the DB anymore.
i have to go to IIS control panel and restart IIS.
then all is fine for a while.

any suggestions?

there seems to be an issue, when the application times out (by default after 20 minutes of inactivity). usually the site gets restarted fine, but maybe due to performance issues of the database, a timeout occurs reading from the database. check the system event log for errors an make sure, the database transaction log gets truncated during frequent backups.
