Please ignore as I have resolved the problem. (see my reply to myself)


I have a DNN 3.1 Installation. I tried uploading the Shop module to it today and got an error message at the very very end. I havn't got the log. But in any event it crashed my database. So I have had the database rolled back, but I am still getting an error. Notably the following message occurs.

A critical error has occurred.
Multiple controls with the same ID 'ctr' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

It doesn't happen when I am a logged on as a user, but it happens when I try to access the site as a new user. Plus there are a few other error message when it tries to load a flash player" module that I have on a number of my pages. I really need some help. I need a strategy for fixing the problem fast as I cannot afford the site to be down longer and putting database backups doesn't appear to solve the problem. - Martin
