Hi everyone.
first of all, This DNN is super !! I liked it so much. It helped me develop faster than before. 2 thumbs up !!

I purchased 2 books talking about module programming: Wrox profissional DotNetNuke Module Programming, and Building Websites with DotNetNuke 5

as you (don't) know, I love programming but I hate programming!!! the first book gave you the best way to develop a module but it was so hard to me. for the 2nd book I'm still reading it but I guess it follows another way to develop.

OK. this is a link http://www.asp.net/data-access/tutorials of  tutorials provided an easy and so beautifull way to develop a .net websiter (DAL, BLL, PL)
and this is my favorite (and only) style.

How can I use this way to develop a DNN module ? is it posibble to do that ? I mean creating data set (DAL), Objests (BLL), and ascx pages(PL) that fuled by data sources (drag & drop in VS) that extract data from BLL objects......

your opinions and replies will made my day, and next day and so on .... :)

Hi Mohammed.
I was feeling almost like you. I was programming for hardly 15 years (and was loving and hating it), but with Delphi. Huge Projects, Client-Server, Services for Windows Server....everything.
Then i discoverd DNN 4.3.x and since then i'm with it and really do love it!!!!
Therefore: hey, why not trying to rebuild old but useful apps into DNN? But ouch.....ask 3 persons and receive 5 answers. Read 4 tutorials and you simply lost time!!!
But then i found http://www.sipidcode.com/post/DotNetN... and i'm in contact with the developer.
He created his tutorial with c# and i'm converting it right now to vb.
NOW i understand what to do and how.
Stay tuned, i think we will announce the vb-tutorial when finished.

Hi Kai, Thanks for the link. I took a fast look at the 7 parts of the tutorial and I noticed it follows the same style in (Wrox profissional DotNetNuke Module Programming) book. I admit.... it's a hard style to me. but I'll take your advice: converting old apps to DNN. and I'll stay tuned. meanwhile, I'll wait someone to tell if (DAL, BLL, PL) works fine with DNN or not. Thanks alot Kai. :)
