I have an idea for a new product, and DotNetNuke (dnn) would be a key part of that product.  However, I've read that DNN doesn't support Azure.  I'm guessing that it fails for the following reasons:

1. Direct file system access
2. Some of the modules have issues?
3. Connection loss handling in the data provider.

I don't know for sure that these are the real issues.  So my questions are as follows:

1.  What really is causing dnn to not work on Azure?
2.  Is there a roadmap for delivery of an Azure compatible version of dnn?
