Hello all,

I have been scrounging around the internet for some time now and have not been able to find out any information on my current scenario. Hopefully someone here will be able to assist me.

I have a web server in a DMZ (web01) with dnn 5 installed and an internal Domain controller windows 2008 R2 (dc01) and a firewall in between them. The web server is not joined to the domain (cloud.sky.net)

on the firewall between web01 and dc01 i have the ldap port 389 tcp and udp open.

since the web server is not on the cloud domain i tried using the impersonation settings as follows:
        "<identity impersonate="true" userName="cloud\myuser" password="mypasshere"/>"

however after doing so the following error is displayed:
"Parser Error Message: Could not create Windows user token from the credentials specified in the config file. Error from the operating system 'Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."

without using the impersonate code in the web.config i get the following error when trying to update the AD authentication:

    Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.AddADSIPath(String Path, Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry(Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.ADSIProvider.GetNetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

does anyone have any ideas?
