I upgraded my 4.9.0 to 5.4.1 without any issues. Godday has been my hosting provider for years and I have never had a problem. I just FTPed the upgrade files and hit the website. Thanks, Greg Hart

I've always used the Godaddy cpanel for installation and upgrading.

What is the process to FTP the files?

I do not even know what GoDaddy CPANEL is. I guess we do it differently. I download the DNN install or upgrade, and unzip the files. Then I use FileZilla (free) and FTP the files to move the files to GoDaddy. That's it.

The Godaddy cpanel (Control Panel) is where you configure your Godaddy account. In fact, you control everything to do with your Godaddy account(s), including hosting, domain management, email accounts, upgrades, etc. Also, it's where you can install "3rd party" applications -- like DotNetNuke (amongst many others).

As far as "upgrading" to 5.x, it took almost 5 hours to get the site back to DNN 4.9 and running again, so I'm going to leave this particular site at DNN 4.9 for now. The skin developer was able to send me a version of the skin that works with 4.9 which is the only reason I needed 5.x on the site in the first place, so I'm good to go for now.

Thanks.
