Is it possible to truncate the POSTBODY section of an email template?  Our forum administrator would like to provide just a teaser from the original post in the email notification that goes out to users.

I'm thinking something along the lines of Left([POSTBODY], 100)...

I was hoping there was a simple hack in the email template UI.  I'd rather not customize the core and have to maintain through future releases, so I guess I'll open this as an enhancement request and see if anyone else is interested in a similar feature.  Thanks...
