Hi
1. Still testing and putting in your suggested
..
into various templates to make problem disappear. I'll shout if that does not fix it.
2. As part of this, am trying to figure out which messages are being sent and when. Sofar the following:
            When a user enrolls (not administrator) for an event I (the main administrator email) receives the 'moderate event/enroll email approve/deny' message 3 times. The various event email addresses have all been set to a different address. (I put the
..
in that message and did not crash. In addition, the user was notified with the same message, and the 'moderation event/enroll email action required' message was sent to the email address registered for moderation. I can't explain the message(s) sent to the main administrator account. Is this related to the problem you identified? If not, what can it be?

Regards
Hans

HI Hans,

So I think you are now suffereing from this bug - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V... - which I reported at pretty much the same time. I suspect what is happening:-
  • You add an event
  • It tries to send to moderator and fails with bug 1
  • This masks bug 2

So workaround bug 1:-

  • You add an event
  • It tries to send to moderator and hits bug 2, so sends to admin (this may of course be the same email address but you get the idea)
  • It then carries on to send to moderator
  • It tried to send to event creator and hits bug 2, so it sends to admin
  • It carries on to send to event creator

I can supply a you a dotnetnuke.dll with this fixed as well. If you are interested, mail me at webmaster @ the domain in my profile.

Cheers
Roger

Hi;
That looks a lot like what I'm seeing. Have send you request for dll's at your diving club site.Like the site look and feel. Like the detail you publish with the list view on diving. Will have to experiment to do something like that here. One more little thing (I'm sure i'll have more questions later) but messages are being send from 'admin@martinsdam.org'. I never configured such an email address. Is that an automatic one which is routed to the main administrator email?

Hans

Hi Roger;
I see that 5.4.4 has been released. I don't want to try it until the crashing problem for which you gave me a fix has been implemented. Do you know if it has in 5.4.4?
Regards
Hans
