Hi All,
I am a new guy just set up a DNN program, the setup process is smooth. But I spent much time for studying how to change my existing html web page into DNN website. For my concept, we have to make a skin and container that should have the files ascx, css, xml. Acctually, I am not a programmer and not familiar with the web programming.
Is there any tutorial or simple study guide for reference?
Thanks for you help.

You probably want to start with DNNCreative.com.

Henry,

If you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, learning to skin for DNN is just a step on from this. The key to creating skins is using skin tokens in HTML, or adding controls in the .ascx file.

I think a good place to start would be the skinning guide, which can be found here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Support/Doc... and then have a look at this thread for some DNN5 specific info: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F...

Once you've had a read of these, the best thing to do is have a look at the MinimalExtropy skin files, which are installed with the default DNN5 installation, this contains all the files you need for a skin and will show you the tokens/objects in action. They can be found in the following directory: Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy

Any additonal queries you'll be able to get answered either through twitter or the DNN forums.

Regards,

Rick.
