Hello,

Background:
I purchased Appointments module and had problems with it not recognizing I had DNN 5.0.3 installed within my DNN 5.2.3. The vendor told me that if the Event module was showing up under the extension manager as 5.0.3 instead of 5.00.03 that was why it was not recognized and to reinstall it.

What did I do?
I uninstalled the events module and chose not to Delete Files when doing so.

Now what happens when I try to reinstall Events?
It won't reinstall. The first error it gives is related to a SQL error stating invalid column names when trying to create a stored procedure. Which is true. It is executing the first sqldataprovider file which refers to the original version of the Events table. But since this module was already installed and the tables were not deleted, it is trying to create a stored procedure using the 3.01.00 version of the Events table when the current Events table is version 5.00.03.

Now since the module was already deleted...it does not show up in th Extensions list to delete again and delete files....so what is the work around here?

manually run the Uninstall.SqlDataProvider then try to reinstall?

I have no idea what happens if you don't 'Delete files' since I've never tried, so not 100% sure what state it is in. In any case, try running the uninstall in Host/SQL. If you have access to your database, you can then check if any Events tables or stored procedures are there. If there are, then you should delete these as well.

If it still won't install, post back here.

By the way I would expect the number to show as 5.0.3, certainly does on my site and on my dev systems. Not sure why it should show as 5.00.03. Bear in mind they should be accessing what is stored in database as the version in the DesktopModules table, which should read 05.00.03 (which it does on my site).

Cheers

So I manually ran the uninstall script then deleted the Events folder under Desktop module and deleted the associated DLLs in the Bin folder and then was able to reinstall.
