I have DNN version 4.08.04 installed at :

http://www.carsonboy.net/home

I have another site (http://www.c2fishing.com) I want to set up on the same install as a new portal.  I go through the process in the host menu to set up a new portal, and I call it "c2fishing" and use the alias c2fishing.com.  I customize the home directory with (portals/c2fishing/). 

I am going to my hosting/domain registration service (godaddy) and forwarding my c2fishing.com domain to (http://www.carsonboy.net/home/portals...), but I'm not sure thats the right thing to do and can't figure out why http://www.c2fishing.com is taking me to http://www.carsonboy.net/home. 

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  I don't know if I should modify my name servers or any of the DNS stuff or not.  Also, not sure if I should even be forwarding my alias.  Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Hum, I'm not using Godaddy for my hosting, but I'll explain the steps that I go through and maybe it will help.
  1. My Godaddy domain is already pointing to my hosting provider (name servers).
  2. Log into my hosting providers control panel, add a new domain (www.mywebsite.com).
  3. Go to my existing web site configuration, still within my hosting provider's control panel, and add a pointer to the new domain.
  4. Go to my existing web site, login as host, and go to add new Portal.
  5. Fill in all the information - I always use the same user name, email address, and password, so that I login easily to all my web sites.
