I m trying to develop an online Exam system . In this system when an instructor assign an exam to a student an email will be sent to Student. I want when an student  log in to system after log in If he/she has some remaining exam system show him the list of theses exam as when we add some required field in user profile system must ask the user about that property.

Steps to do this sort of thing - not part of it is going to require a custom module written to work out if there are exams to do.

1. Create a new page on your site -  this will be the default page that ALL users are sent to after login
2. in the user settings for your site - set this page at the After Login page
3. Write a custon module that queries your exam list to see if there are any exams - then displays a list of these exams.

It wont be able to show the Exams, but the DNN Stuff Welcome module works well to show the user some information with a X at the top to close it (it' s a great way of showing temp tips or help)
