hi guys,

I unzipped DNN5.4.2  and copied by ftp to my hosting provider server to my dns. When locate to the site as you probaply guess I get security issue. I contacted my provider they provide the necessary security... From here I see the DNN wizards screen.

I choos Custom, permission test ok/passed ok... It asks for Database - userid- password etc... This is retrieved from web.config.... this screen is also passed ok.

Then it starts installing tables.  When I look it creates all DNN tables.... then it fails. The "Aspnet tables" are missing. so it stopped continue....
I don't know why???? any one has idea why it fails ?

Then I delete the DB and re-create the DB (empty)... Then I contact my hosting provider helpdesk, I ask them to goto the wizard (I gave them the instructions) but when they run the wizard it works fine...
So if I run the wizard it creates the DNN tables and not aspnet tables and it FAILS.... when
my provider helpdesk runs the wizard it works for them....

the only thing I can think is they are on the same domain.....

Can someone explain me why it works when they run the wizard?   And how can solve this I mean I don't want contact my provider for the wizard instructions... How can I solve this?

thanks for any advide/input ....

Hi Mesut, This is seemed to be a issue with access permissions.

Have you set the correct permissions on your database and your site?  You don't mention any details about how you're hosted, so there's not much direct help we can provide.

permission: I created a dbowner user and this dbUser is dbowner of the the DATABASE. So during installation I use this dbuser and it's password. and of course Integrated security is checked off... is this correct? I assume yes, because why does it work when the helpdesk person is executing the wizard. Because he is on the same domain? I assume it's related to Aspnet_regsql.exe command....
