My client has installed DNN as a separate web site on his server.  I need to do some custom code to get financial data and display it using the .NET chart control, but I am at a bit of a lost how to get started adding custom code to the DNN web site.  Should I download the entire site to my pc and work on it using Visual Web Developer Express?  Just need to know how to get started.
Thank you

Hi,
The way to work is this.  Geta  copy of DNN running on your local machine.  Then use the Visual Studio Starter Kits to build a new module.  You can download both of these from CodePlex http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/.  Install the .vsi file so you get the templates in VS.
Then once you have built your module you package it up with DNN and install the module on your prod site.
