I'm trying to upload a large file (40mb) via file manager.  I get the folowing error.

HTTP Error 404.13 - Not Found
The request filtering module is configured to deny a request that exceeds the request content length.

I remember this from an earlier problem where i upped the limit in web.config to handle 20 mb files.  I tried doing the same thing for this and changed the settting to 40 mb, same error.  I found some threads on adding an executionTimeout flag, same error.  I've even gone so far as upping the limit really high, but I still get the same error.  Here's my line from web.config currently.  I've raised/lowerd the timemout setting, but it doesn't seem to help anything.

<httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="100000" requestLengthDiskThreshold="100000" executionTimeout="100000"/>

Any ideas on what I'm missing?  Is there an additional setting in a menu somewhere?  Maybe in IIS 7 that overrides this value??  I'm 99.9% sure that I only changed those values when I upped the limit from the default (8 mb I think) to 20 mb.

To recap, I can still upload files up to 20 mb from the change I made a few months ago. But I can not load my 40 mb file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are in II7 in integrated mode. You can set the integrated to classic (on the appPool of the site) as a possible quick fix. You would lose the benefits of intergrated.

IIS:
http://www.iis.net/ConfigReference/system.webServer/security/requestFiltering/requestLimits

I would look into <requestLimits>

Thank chatters. I tried the maxRequestLength which is what I changed before but had no luck.

 I'll take a look at the requestLimits in the url you provided as well. I'd rather stick with the integrated mode however.

Any suggestions from others?
