Hello everybody!

i am trying to get individual images in my menu. i have 3 menuitems. i already saw that in joomla the menu images can be styled in css with the tabid.
Is there a way in dnn to do same?

I hope somebody can help me. :-)

Chris,

Welcome to the DNN forums.

If you use Firebug for Firefox (http://getfirebug.com/) you can highlight the relevant menu item and find it's tabid.

Regards,

Rick.

You should be able to use the ids generated by NAV menu.
They look look this: id1213

Thanx for the fast reply.

I already have the TabID, but i can't use it in the css file.
I also tried all possible ways to fit the tabID in the css file.

Here are the relevant parts from my css File, i think:
I tried all possible synthax for the tabid.

.art-menu tabid130 a .r, .art-menu tabid130 a .l
{
  position: absolute;
  display: block;
  top: 0;
  z-index: -1;
  height: 333px;
  background-image: url('images/menuitem_1_black.png');
}

.art-menu tabid124 a .r, .art-menu tabid124 a .l
{
  position: absolute;
  display: block;
  top: 0;
  z-index: -1;
  height: 333px;
  background-image: url('images/menuitem_1_translosch.png');
}

thanx
chris

Chris,

Can you provide a link to the skin in action?

Another solution would be to use the NAV skin object and get it to render as a UL. This is much easier to work with and you can find a great example of it here: http://dnnskinextensions.codeplex.com/ under the Nav Menu Demo link. Install the skin and take a look at the .aspx file for how to include this in your own skin.

If you can provide a link to your skin, I'll see if I can figure how to set the CSS for you.

Regards,

Rick.
