I upgraded my live site from DNN 5.2.2 to DNN 5.4.2. PokerDIY.com now runs sooo slowly and frequently times out. When you try to make a new user it just timeouts eventually.

I read somewhere about a bug with spiders hitting the site and not observing module caching settings - I can't find it now but that sounds like it could be causing SQL deadlocks etc. on a site that gets an average amount of traffic a day? (around 1000 visitors - and a lot of bots).

There was a SQL error in the DNN 5.4.0 SQL script (to do with adding a constraint to the portallocalisation table (this also happened on the test upgrade) so I dont think it is the problem.

*EDIT* Here is the issue in Gemini. My cloned test site upgraded fine and is responding ok, whereas the live site takes AGES to logout, login and timeouts when making new users. Could this be causing such bad performance problems?

Any suggestions? It's my live site so I will have to roll it back pretty soon if I cant find a solution...

Thanks Alex - in the meantime I had to roll back (in the process) as it was too serious a bug and I am not even sure that is the issue - I'll wait a few more versions I think...
