I've had a few users ask about "Online Now" not showing anyone... and noticed that my own portal does not show it either.

You must have users online enabled in Host -> Host Settings, and also the scheduled job enabled in Host -> Scheduler (the job is called PurgeUsersOnline).

We'll be trying to make this a little more intuitive in future releases.

Scott,

It should be possible to turn the schedule on/off based on the setting in hostsettings .

The same is done with the 'Enable event log buffer' checkbox if you need an idea how.

Yep, that is what I had in mind. Also an alert in the view options screen of users online to say "users online currently disabled" or something like that..
