Hi everybody,
today I run into a scheduler issue. I run version 4.09.05. I set up the scheduler to run in timer mode. the last week everthing works fine. Today after eight hours the scheduler just stops working. There was no entry in the error log. I had to restart the application.
Has anyone a similar experience.

Thanks in advance,
matze

please switch to request mode, timer mode is not reliable (it should have been removed).

Hi sebastian,
thanks for your answer.
turning to request mode could be a problem for me. I export data to another system using the scheduler in timer mode. So when I turn the scheduler to request mode it can happen to me that the tasks won't execute until someone makes a request, right.
Would it be a better solution to write a sql server task?
Is there a dotnetnuke version where timer mode is reliable?

if the app is unloaded, timer mode will not work either, only planned tasks in Windows server or sql server are reliable.

Hi sebastian.
In my case the scheduled task runs every two minutes. So when a user takes an action and adds data to the databse which should be exported there is no problem with the timer mode as the app won't should down in that short period. if the app is unloaded there is no reason for my scheduled tasks to run.
