Hi,
We are in the investigation phase of doing a business directory web site with almost 500,000 directory which have been classified in hundreds of categories and sub categories.
We want to implement Lucene/Solr to do full text search and performance and SEO is our main concern.
Now, I need to know if you recommed DNN to do such a site or not?

Thanks.

DNN is a framework, there are solutions to integrate lucene and extensions like URLmaster from www.ifinity.com.au for SEO optimized URLs. you will however need a proper module for your main purpose the business directory, optimized for your use case.

Hello Reza,

We are currently working on a project for a regional yellow pages directory using DotNetNuke Professional Ediiton and few third party modules. So far it's half way to it's destiny. As per our client, he will have more than a million records (listings) with more than 1000 Categories/sub-categories. Not only Yellow Pages, we are also working on Automobile / Property Listings and Job Serach in the same website.

The point is, YES we @DNN4Less, recommend DotNetNuke for Business Listings or Yellow Page website. If you have any specific concern/question you can ask in this forum or email me at rashid.kazi@dnn4less.com.
