So your saying that we have to pay the $15 for the first domain we point to DNN subfolder and then any other domains we point to that same folder will not be charged?

Hello WebhoKC!

Thanks for the reply. I saw the tab in the WH4L domain manager submenu that says "Add To Subfolder", but the heading there says:

Add Domain Name to Sub-Folder + Email Service ($15/year) ( Live! )

Are you saying that if I already have one domain pointing to the DNN installation folder, I won't be charged for adding a second domain using this method?Domain Name to Sub-Folder + Email Service ($15/year) ( Live! )

here is my status update:
within WH4L, i did not have the asp.net version set to 2.x for the domain/dnn 4.02
which is configured at site admin, asp.net, .net application

now mydomainA.com does correctly bring the default DNN page
although it is set to point at a path instead of redirecting, all it does is redirect to the temp url
i'm working with support on this question, because what is the value of my domain if i can't keep it throughout the session?

now i also have 2 domains, and i didn't understand there was a charge for changing it, so i need to look into this as well
i think what a previous poster is implying is that in one of the control panel selections there is a way to change it without being charged, i'd like to know which selection that is

my understand is that now mydomainA.com is pointed at the DNN root and it at least allows a page to be correctly served to the browser, i can then login as host and create a parent portal. which i did for mydomainA.com and my understanding is that the last key ingredient is to set the "http alias" to mydomainA.com. i created a user with the login of admin9, admin9
however after again opeing the url of mydomainA.com i should be redirected to the new parent portal and be able to login with admin9. i don't know if it works but i certainly am unable to login with admin9

any ideas would be much appreciated!
thanks, Jeff
